New Firearms Law in NY

A new law requires all executors and administrators of estates to file with the surrogates court a separate inventory of every firearm, shotgun and rifle owned by the deceased.  This inventory must also be sent to the division of criminal justice services in Albany.

There are new disclosure rules for mortgage loans that take effect for all mortgage loans applied for on or after October 3, 2015.  These disclosure rules apply to all lenders, to closed-end mortgages only on both purchases and re-finances.
